A Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport commissioned resource, designed to assist libraries in evaluating their cultural engagement activities.
In spring 2019, The Audience Agency
delivered a series of Arts Council England-funded workshops, commissioned by The Department for
Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, to their Libraries Taskforce. Derived from
and in response to the sessions’ findings, we have compiled a companion
resource designed to assist libraries in better evaluating the cultural
engagement activities that they conduct, beyond book-issuing and core services.
The resource includes the full slide-set that accompanied the workshop, along with explanatory notes and links to further resources from both our own and other relevant services. The resource also offers a comprehensive list of published reports and guidelines reflecting both libraries’ unique requirements and best practice for any arts or cultural organisation keen to develop more effective ways of evaluating their activities.
