Cat works as a software developer at The Audience Agency, writing code across the full tech stack for AF2.0 Beta – our next generation of data-driven insight tools for the arts & culture sector. Working as part of the development team, Cat takes user stories and feedback provided by our clients and turns those requests and suggestions into new insights and features (or iterative improvements on existing insights and features) in AF2.0 Beta. Having a background in data-driven arts marketing, Cat brings a wealth of on-the-ground experience and domain knowledge to the development of this exciting new platform. Cat also supports the effective prioritisation, planning and development of future products.

Cat joined The Audience Agency in September 2018 as Head of Support and Community, following 12 years as a data-driven arts marketer in Scotland. She transitioned into her new role as a software developer in October 2020, having developed websites and in-house web apps in her previous role with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. Her early career was in marketing with the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, City Halls, Old Fruitmarket and Celtic Connections. Cat also has several years of Box Office and Front of House experience.

Cat has a degree in Applied Music with Specialisation in Industry from the University of Strathclyde and still has a keen interest in performing with her string quartet Rhapsody and the Glasgow Studio Orchestra.
