Dr Orian Brook is Chancellor’s Fellow in Social Policy at the University of Edinburgh. She researches social and spatial inequalities in the creative economy, and is the co-author of Culture is bad for you published by Manchester University Press. She is a member of the College of Experts for the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, and a reviewer for the Arts and Humanities Research Council and the Economic and Social Research Council funding bodies. She is an ESRC Administrative Data Research Fellow analysing the earnings of creative graduates, and the education of creative workers. She previously worked in the cultural sector as a marketing and research specialist.
