Digital Snapshot | 21.07.22

Hello and welcome to the latest edition of the Digital Snapshot, bringing you all the latest digital news, ideas, tips and guidance for the arts, culture, museums and heritage world.

It was lovely to meet so many of you at the Arts Marketing Association conference! Sorry to everyone I overshared with at the evening social - particularly that one story about my friend's erotic novel based on the BBC show The Repair Shop.

Latest News

  • The Italian government have cracked down on museums selling NFTs of their work. Eccelente.

  • You may soon be able to co-tweet.

  • A shaking head, a goose and a moose are among some new emojis being released.

  • The UK's Online Safety Bill has been delayed until the new Prime Minister is in place (and for a bit more info, see the Good Reads section below).

  • Lofi Girl, a Youtube channel playing beats to relax/study to, was recently taken down by a bogus copyright claim after running 24/7 for 20,843 hours. That this could happen to such a famous channel shows yet again that Youtube's copyright claims process is - frankly - the worst.
