Abigail Netcott is a seasoned marketing and communications strategist with over 25 years of experience spanning commercial, cultural, and charitable sectors. Most recently, she has led the successful development and delivery of the marketing campaign for The Box, Plymouth's £47 million cultural hub and the UK's largest museum and art gallery opening in 2020.
Beginning her career in London, Abigail worked with global brands including Virgin Retail, PepsiCo, and Yahoo before moving into entertainment marketing. She orchestrated successful campaigns for notable films including "Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels," "American Beauty," and "Chicken Run," alongside work for prestigious institutions like The Old Vic Theatre.
Seeking to create meaningful social impact, Abigail joined Business in the Community, where she developed corporate social responsibility programs for major companies including HSBC, Diageo GB, and Cadbury's. After returning to Plymouth, she expanded her expertise through a first-class business management degree while working as a management accountant for Plymouth Community Homes. Now back in her hometown, Abigail brings her diverse experience to The Box, where she successfully navigated the challenges of launching during the pandemic while establishing the venue as a compelling cultural destination that connects Plymouth to the world.
