Carly is a researcher with a creative practitioner background, skilled in leading projects that engage children and young people and underserved communities. Carly works with a range of clients seeking to diversify and collaborate with their stakeholders on programme design and evaluation.
Prior to joining The Audience Agency, Carly was Head of Learning and Engagement at Oldham Coliseum Theatre where she led the theatre's in-depth programme of work with young people, schools and communities. During this time, Carly established the UK Theatre Award nominated Teaching Theatre Pathways programme and Education Partnership Scheme. She also developed a number of co-created projects with Oldham's communities including 'Textiles, Place and Generation', exploring the migration and settlement experience of older women of Pakistani heritage and 'Roma Connections', addressing inequalities and amplifying the voices of Roma people in Oldham. Carly is a trustee of the National Festival of Making and Kaskosan.
Carly has a PhD in Applied Theatre from University of Manchester and a Drama Degree from Liverpool John Moore's University.
