Tony Currie is a producer working across stage and screen, with a focus on cross-disciplinary projects and innovative film distribution. He is currently Head of Artistic Planning & Senior Producer at Scottish Ballet, a freelance production and distribution consultant, Associate with The Space, and a Trustee on the Board of Glasgow Short Film Festival.

Tony began his career as a dancer and choreographer before transitioning into press and digital marketing, ultimately focusing on producing. His expertise lies in creating and delivering high-impact, multi-platform work that bridges live performance and screen. At Scottish Ballet, Tony has produced over 40 short films and three feature-length works, with the company’s films achieving average annual online viewership of 1 million. His work has been acquired globally by broadcasters including the BBC, PBS (USA), NHK (Japan), SVT (Sweden), Yle (Finland), Nowness, and Marquee TV. Films under his production have been showcased at more than 25 international festivals, including La Biennale di Venezia, Raindance, Aesthetica, Glasgow Short Film Festival, Manchester Film Festival, Choreoscope Barcelona (2× Audience Choice Award), Cinedans (Best Short Film), Leeds International Film Festival, and the Celtic Media Festival (Torc Award for Excellence).
