As a Data Scientist, Josh works on using cutting-edge machine learning algorithms to improve and automate audience segmentation for the culture, arts and heritage sectors. He has experience in delivering data science projects in both commercial and not-for-profit organisations, such as predicting dietary preferences of supermarket customers and identifying university alumni with higher capacity to donate.
Josh’s PhD research topic is investigating online customer search and buying behaviour in the European airline market, in collaboration with Lufthansa Group. The projects he worked on included online market segmentation, purchase prediction and detection of changes in consumer behaviour.
He holds a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Manchester and an MSc in Machine Learning from University College London.
