  • The Lords Communications and Digital Committee published their latest report on the UK's creative industries, covering how technology is disrupting the sector, how the UK's leading position is at risk and how the Government should be helping (/how it is currently hindering).

  • The University of Texas has blocked TikTok from being accessed on the university's networks, after the state's governor banned the app from state-managed electronic resources. More than half of US states have now banned the platform on government devices.

  • Microsoft is apparently closing in on a deal to buy ChatGPT creator OpenAI. Prepare for Clippy 2.0, Destroyer of Worlds.

  • Culture24's next Let's Get Real action research programme is focusing on using digital to add value for audiences and organisations. The programme runs between June 2023 and February 2024, you can find out more here. You can also let them know what important questions this programme could answer through their survey.
