Digital Snapshot | 07.03.2023

Hello and welcome to the latest edition of the Digital Snapshot, bringing you all the latest digital news, ideas, tips and guidance for the arts, culture, museums and heritage world.

The persona at the top of today's Digital Snapshot comes courtesy of the Museum of Forward Planning, an imaginary museum which satirises the idiotic, idiosyncratic and frustrating ways in which we work. Buy their new book and you'll find yourself alternately crying, laughing and experiencing mild PTSD. I'm not a shill, I just really enjoyed it.

Good Reads

  • Social media is dying. We hear this a lot, but I listen when Ed Zitron says it. Basically, some of it is about stupid money-milking schemes, some of it is the stalling of advertising revenue but a lot of it is down to investor obsession with continuous growth rather than true innovation.
