Each month we delve into an aspect of our work and your contributions to and opportunities in The Audience Agency community.

“There is no surer foundation for a beautiful friendship than a mutual taste in literature.”

P.G. Wodehouse

According to YouGov, after fitness and saving, 'reading more' is Britain's most popular new year's resolution. As The Audience Agency community steps into the 2020s, we're hoping to take a leaf out of the book of some of our most diverse, inclusive and risk-taking sectors. Libraries and Live Literature Events, like the stories they help us to share, thrive on an adventurous, inquisitive and joyful attitude towards reading, writing and hearing new voices. This month, to kick start the decade, we're publishing a brand new report looking at audiences for Live Literature Events throughout the UK and celebrating some of the inspiring work we've seen across the literature and library sectors.

Audiences to Live Literature events are notably local. That said, variations by audience type remind us that these patterns result partly from where different groups live and partly from where they go.
